Ebola Travel Advisory

Ebola Outbreak

Attention, dear travellers: there’s been an outbreak of ebola in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone. The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada is currently advising against non-essential travel to these countries.
If you’re currently in any of these countries or are planning to go and have coverage through one of our policies, this is how you’ll be protected:
Any travellers who submit medical claims resulting from unexpected sickness as a result are covered under TuGo’s insurance medical policies, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Travel Insurance Coverage & Ebola

Travellers who purchased TuGo’s Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption coverage may qualify for benefits when a formal travel warning or advisory is issued by the Canadian Government. This advisory must be in place between the time you purchased insurance and the time you’re scheduled to depart on your trip. The advisory must still be in place at the time of scheduled departure.
If you’re not covered by one of our policies, call your travel insurance provider or check their website to see how their coverage applies.
