It’s one of my favourite seasons; there’s just something about when the temperature cools down, stunning fall sunsets and the smell of cinnamon that really makes it unique. If you are looking for great places to visit this autumn to take in the beauty and show friends on Instagram, we compiled a list of our top 5 favourite Instagram-worthy fall destinations.
1. New York City, New York
New York City is one of the world’s most popular destinations, ; so, it comes as no surprise that autumn in New York is worth experiencing. As a city that never sleeps, visitors have an endless array of things to see and do.
There’s nothing like walking down the streets of Manhattan with leaves falling from the trees enjoying a cup of hot apple cider! But if you want to capture this experience at its finest, visit Eataly NYC Flatiron. They’re known for their restaurant’s seasonal themes. During the fall, the decor is decked out with autumn leaves, adding to its inherent coziness and a tasty fall menu you can’t beat.
2. Aspen, Colorado
Every autumn, people flock to Aspen to see spectacular fall foliage. The best time to see the area’s brilliant colours is mid-September through mid-October. With an average elevation of 9,990 feet above sea level, Aspen has some incredible views that will make your Instagram account stand out from everyone else’s! Consider hiking the Independence Pass to view the stunning high-altitude landscape of the Elk Mountains, or driving past Aspen’s iconic Maroon Bells peaks at Maroon Lake Trailhead. The views are impeccable, and the colours of the leaves change depending on the time of day.

3. The Dolomites, Italy
The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With summer crowds gone and the autumn colours starting to show, October is an excellent time to visit the Dolomites. Hiking trails remain snow-free, so you can enjoy stunning views during the fall without worrying about getting lost in deep snowdrifts or falling through thin ice. The view of Santa Maddalena church among the hills is breathtaking.

4. Seoul, South Korea
The best time to visit Seoul during autumn is from mid-October until early November. This season has plenty of things to do such as enjoying local festivals and shopping at Dongdaemun Market as well as visiting palaces and temples. Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of the most visited palaces in Korea, and is one of Korea’s Five Grand Palaces, built by the kings during the Joseon Dynasty. The palace becomes even more spectacular when its surrounding gardens are filled with autumn’s ginkgo and maple trees.
5. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Amsterdam is as photogenic in the fall as it is in summer, with its iconic architecture and picturesque canals. And since fewer tourists visit during the year’s colder months, you won’t have to fight crowds for that perfect shot.
Vondelpark is one of Amsterdam’s most popular destinations and renowned sculptures spread through from different artists like Pablo Picasso. The sprawling park is packed with trees, flowers and ponds that are perfect for taking pictures. There’s also several interesting museums close by like Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.
