Our thoughts are with our friends and families in the Philippines as Super Typhoon Haiyan wreaks havoc.

I wanted to post on this topic today because it makes me feel really good to work for a company that is committed to supporting Make-A-Wish® Canada.

This year, we helped some students from a local high school travel and volunteer in Samoa. There, they helped rebuild Saleapaga, a village still recovering from the effects of the devastating tsunami in 2009.

Volunteer travel is something near and dear to our hearts. Recently, we helped some students from Richmond Secondary in BC travel and volunteer in Samoa as part of the school’s Global Perspectives program.

Ever considered volunteering abroad? Wonder how it works? Our Customer Service Supervisor, Mia, has been part of the TuGo’s family since 2009. In addition to supporting her hardworking team of Licensed Insurance Advisors, she is passionate about volunteering at home and abroad.
