Travel Warning: Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda)

Due to danger posed by Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada advises against non-essential travel to eastern, central, and western Visayas, as well as the Bicol region, northern Mindanao, Mimaropa and Calabarzon.

How does this affect TuGo Insurance Policies?

TuGo will provide coverage under Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption only for the Covered Risks specified in the Policy Wording. Coverage applies as follows: a formal travel warning or advisory is issued by the Canadian Government advising not to travel to the insured’s destination between the time the insured has purchased the insurance and the time the insured is scheduled to depart on their trip.
Reminder: Travel advisory must be in place on the contracted dates.
Please be aware that travel warnings are updated regularly. Current information on exactly which locations are affected can be found on the Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada website.
